mein.radhaus-lauingen.de

radhaus lauingen is my family's bike shop. after building its new website, the repair workshop was next.
until now, every repair was a paper slip. on busy days that got messy fast, and our customers never really knew when their bike would be ready. so i built a small system for the shop. i call it the radhaus os, mostly for fun – it's not quite an operating system.
it starts before the counter: while customers wait in line, they can scan a qr code in the store and enter their details on their own phone. at the counter, we only need to add the bike.
every repair gets a city name like "mannheim". it's easier to remember than a number and easy to say at the counter. customers take home a receipt with that name, the date we expect the bike to be ready, and a qr code with their personal code ("mannheim-757735"). the bike gets a label with the same name and a barcode, so we can find it right away.
if we have their email address, customers also get their code by email right after drop-off. on mein.radhaus-lauingen.de they can check how their repair is going at any time, and send us a message if there's anything we should know. as soon as the bike is ready, the os emails them again.
customer data is only kept as long as it's needed and deleted automatically afterwards.
built with next.js and supabase.
